Great Job by former Watchung Firefighter Tim Greves in helping to save a life. Tims Father Gary Greves is also an active and long time member of the Watchung Fire Department. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒🔥🔥🔥 🔥We're shining a light on one of our incredible Central Falls Fire Department dispatchers, whose quick thinking saved a life.
Late one night last week, a family was banging on the doors of our station, holding their 8-day old baby who was grey/blue and not breathing. A nightmare scenario for any new parent. One of our dispatchers, Timothy Greves, heard the banging and immediately made the decision to start life-saving back blows on the infant, while alerting firefighters for help. A bilingual firefighter stepped in to help provide translation, keep the family calm, and reassure them their baby was in good hands. Thanks to Tim, the baby began breathing again and was safe in his fathers arms before being transported to the hospital.
When seconds mattered, Tim's quick response saved a life. We are lucky to have Tim in our city, and grateful that our dispatchers are located right inside our fire station.
