Berkeley Heights Brush Fire

Yesterday shortly after 2pm, Watchung Fire Department responded mutual aid into Berkley Heights for a large brush fire on the westbound side of Interstate 78. Due to the size of the fire and area, multiple departments provided a large amount of apparatus for this incident. WFD responded with all 3 Engines, Car 60, and Utility 60. WFD crews pulled a handline up the steep incline as well as participated in water shuttle operations due to there being no hydrant access on the highway.
